Sheffield women’s charity City Hearts has teamed up with local students to put the latest in fashion innovation onto the catwalk!

Fashion and engineering students at Sheffield Hallam University have combined forces to create a wedding dress that could be dissolved after the wedding to transform it into five new fashion pieces.

Now, there is the opportunity to see the elaborate pieces modelled on the catwalk, at a glitzy and glam fashion show at Sheffield City Hall on Saturday 19 June, and headlined by Britain’s Got Talent winner and dancing star George Sampson.

‘Captivating – The Heart of Fashion’, sponsored by Autosave, has been organised by marketing and events company Bravura in association with Sheffield City Hall and Sheffield Hallam University.

The show seeks to raise money for City Hearts, a local charity based at the Megacentre, which helps women overcome serious life issues.

Siobhan Bullock, director of City Hearts, said: “Sheffield is full of talent, so we wanted to showcase it in the fashion show and give the opportunity for local students to get involved in such a fantastic event. click here for full story
